Where were you in June 1968? It was a date which was to change the course of what was then the LGBT world but now widens to welcome LGBTQ+, this is where Diversity as a concept started.

June 28, 1968 was the day when the Stonewall Inn, then a mafia owned bar in Greenwich Village, was raided by the police. In response, the community stood out and proud in violent clashes with the NYPD and PRIDE was born.

One of the never to be expected consequences was the establishment of Christopher Street West (CSW) a Los Angeles response to the violence in LA. CSW wasted no time in getting organized and just two years later the world’s first legally permitted Gay Pride event went ahead.
