The Annual Turkey Trot

Prepare your metabolism for the pending Thanksgiving feast by burning off a few calories. The Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving favorite among LA locals, with races all over California to celebrate the occasion. Many Turkey Trots support local charitable organizations. What better way to celebrate the season by giving back to your community.

Dine in style while someone else does all your dishes. Eat your Thanksgiving dinner aboard the Hornblower with a glass of champagne as you take in views of the harbor. Enjoy live entertainment while you sit back, relax, and enjoy a delicious meal. The cruise is 2 hours long, departing from the Fisherman’s Village Marina at 11:30 am.

Pumpkin Smashing at the Zoo

Take a short drive up to Santa Barbara to dispose of your leftover pumpkins the fun way. Donate your pumpkins to the Santa Barbara Zoo and watch the animals have fun playing with them. Who doesn’t want to see an elephant smash a pumpkin to bits or meerkats hiding in a Jack O’lantern?

Fitbit Hiit and Flow

Fitbit offers one of the best Thanksgiving activities to do with friends and family. A local fitness leader will guide you through a public workout. No Fitbit necessary to participate. Meet at the entrance to the Boomtown Brewery on November 10 at 11:45 am.

Pre Thanksgiving Dinner for LGBT Youth


This year, the C.I.T.Y.+1 Youth Group is having a Magic Queendom Disney theme for their 16th annual pre-thanksgiving dinner. The group supports LGBT Youth and provides a safe and accepting place to come together and celebrate Thanksgiving. Dinner is free with registration and doors open on November 18th from 6 pm to 9 pm.
