Watch Movies in a Cemetery

Watching movies with dead people isn’t as weird as it sounds. In fact, watching movies with dead people is one of the most popular things to do in LA. Cinespia’s summer movie series at Hollywood Forever Cemetery offers cult classics, great music and an unforgettable time with your friends. As we said, the cemetery is a popular place to be in the summer, so make sure to arrive early to grab a good spot. Doors open at 6:45 – and yes, you can bring all of the beer, wine and snacks your heart desires (within reason). If you’re visiting outside of the cemetery movie series schedule, don’t fret; Cinespia also screens classic movies at unique movie palaces around the city.

The Melrose Rooftop cinema is similar to the LA Rooftop Cinema club in the aspect of execution, but the experience is different. This rooftop cinema is located on the roof of E.P. & L.P. – one of West Hollywood’s most popular restaurant/bar spots. Chow down on some drool-worthy Asian cuisine at E.P., head up to the L.P. rooftop bar for a signature cocktail and music and end your night watching a movie on the big screen. Most importantly, you will get more than just a cool city view at this location. This rooftop offers breathtaking and picturesque views of the Hollywood Hills and the Sunset Strip. It may be a little hard to concentrate on the movie with such spectacular views in the distance.

Take In History While Watching a Movie

TCL Chinese Theatre, or Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, is one of the most famous theaters in LA. The theater is located right on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and it’s hard to miss the beautiful Chinese architecture of the building. Not only is the theatre gorgeous on the inside and the outside, but it is famous for hosting premieres and exclusive screenings as well. Leading up to the entrance, there are cemented handprints and signatures of many stars including Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne, Dick Van Dyke, Donald Duck, Sylvester Stallone, Meryl Streep, Denzel Washington, Jackie Chan and so many more.
